Our Story
Why we do what we do.
I started in the woods working for a land clearing company throughout Pennsylvania, and quickly developed a love for the woods and all things timber. However, I knew deep down that land clearing wasn't the way things should be done. The desire to keep working in the woods, but by doing things right, drew me to pursue a degree in Forestry at the U of Montana. From there, I spent 16 years in industrial forestry all over our great country, from east to west and north to south. I watched the industry change from the long term sustainable yield of timber to the short term gains of real estate. The land is no longer something to be cared for for decades; it has become a commodity to simply monetize for the quickest buck. After 16 years, I walked away. I returned to my home state of Pennsylvania to settle down in the beautiful heart of the Pennsylvania Wilds. I want to continue working in the field for which I have an immense passion, and to help private landowners and families protect and managed their land. This way, they can leave a legacy of stewardship behind them for future generations to enjoy.
